On January 10th 2020 my husband George and I were out for a ride and came upon a Leucistic Eagle. This is a very rare bird and we were lucky to have seen it. In a nutshell: Birds with abnormal plumage are very rare, and both leucism and albinism are easily recognized. According to survey data, leucism and albinism occur at a rough estimate of 1 in 30,000 birds. What an exciting day!
